The Vision Center of Delaware has been a pillar of the Newark community for years. In 2007, our team took over the practice, committed to preserving VCD’s rich legacy while infusing a modern approach.

From contact lens fittings to managing eye diseases, we’re here to support you and your family’s eye health and overall well-being at every stage of life. While we have modernized many aspects of our practice, we carry on the timeless values and quality that have stood the test of time. We’re thrilled to showcase an eclectic collection of antique glasses from the early days, many generously donated by our patients.

Since the 1930s, our location has welcomed generations of patients who have become an integral part of our legacy and family. It’s an honor to be embraced by our community and continue the tradition of dedicated eye care. At VCD, our community involvement is a natural extension of our commitment to inclusivity and staying connected. We’re proud to support initiatives that align with these values, including: 

• Volunteering with the Special Olympics by providing eye exams and eyewear for athletes. 
• Donating and participating in collection drives for the Lions Club. Our office has a collection box, allowing our patients to donate gently used glasses.

Small actions can make a big difference. By promoting these initiatives, we hope to create a more connected and inclusive community.
